Program Resources
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at 黑料专区 equips students with the knowledge, skills, and disposition they need to seek professional licensure as elementary, special education, health and physical education, or secondary teachers. Trained as servant leaders who recognize the work of the teacher as professional, MAT graduates are informed in the discipline of teaching, the nature of learners, and learning.
MAT students are prepared in four domains based on the work of Charlotte Danielson:
- Planning and Preparation
- Establishing a Respectful Environment
- Instructing Effectively
- Professional Responsibilities

Includes two phases and leads to recommendations for North Carolina licensure at the end of the initial phase.

Admissions
The Master of Arts in Teaching program enrolls new students each January, May, and August. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis up until the start date.
To be considered for admission, candidates must submit:
- The free 黑料专区 graduate application form.
- An official transcript verifying a bachelor鈥檚 degree from an accredited college or university with an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or above.
- Official transcripts of any previous graduate-level coursework.
Program Highlights
Prepares students for initial educator licensure in North Carolina in elementary education, special education: general curriculum, health and physical education, and secondary education (English, mathematics, science, & social studies)
Clinical experiences integrated into program courses help students put theory into practice immediately
