A Redesigned, Improved Pfeiffer Website is Now Live
A new homepage video celebrates 黑料专区鈥檚 legacy in undergraduate education with images from its Misenheimer, N.C. campus. It also points to a dynamic future, zooming in on the Center for Health Sciences in Albemarle, N.C., the home of Pfeiffer鈥檚 recently introduced master鈥檚 programs in physician assistant studies and occupational therapy.
Numerous 鈥渃all to action鈥� buttons emerge on every page, making it easy for site visitors to apply, ask for more information, arrange a campus visit, or make a donation. No information is more than three clicks away from the homepage, which features pull-down menus for such important categories as Academics, Admissions & Aid, and Student Life. And the structure of the site ensures full accessibility.
Links to news stories and events are easy to find, having been posted on the homepage.
These are just some of the highlights of a redesigned website that Pfeiffer launched earlier this month.
鈥淎 visually appealing, user-friendly, and accurate website is key to Pfeiffer鈥檚 success, and this one delivers,鈥� said Casey Habich, the University鈥檚 Director of Marketing and Communications. 鈥淭he new platform will allow adapting to new technologies or changes in legislation regarding ADA so much easier for us. As we develop and refine our internal processes for updating things like the academic catalog and website content, the new site will only improve.鈥�
Habich also stressed that University Communications will be constantly addressing any factors that might cause a visitor to www.pfeiffer.edu to 鈥渂ounce鈥� off the site: pages that take too long to load or don鈥檛 offer the right information, or forms that present unexpected roadblocks for the user.
Pfeiffer last redesigned its website in 2015, having done so on a platform that can no longer be supported as of the end of 2021. So, the current redesign was 鈥渟omething we had to do to stay current with the most up-to-date technology,鈥� Habich said. Jenna Pace, a brand manager at 5掳 Branding — the firm that Pfeiffer hired to redesign its website — said that the site has the potential to be the school鈥檚 鈥渂iggest recruiting tool.鈥�
She said that typically, one of the first things a prospective student wants to know is whether Pfeiffer offers a program in which they鈥檙e interested. That鈥檚 why 鈥渨e try to showcase Pfeiffer鈥檚 programs really well鈥� by, for example, featuring student testimonials, information that illuminates the 鈥渉ands-on experience鈥� that they鈥檒l get if they become a student of a particular program, as well as information on applying and financial aid.
鈥淔or many prospective students, the website is their first impression of Pfeiffer,鈥� Pace said. 鈥淪o, we鈥檙e really making sure that impression is the very best it can be.鈥�
Alumni and friends of the University will also find the redesigned website appealing and easy to navigate when looking for recent news, event announcements, or how to support Pfeiffer.
